Lone Star Advent Christian Church Member Was Flowers Baking Company Retiree

Deborah Lee Mays Berberette, 53, of 711 W. Jackson Street, Covington, Virginia, formerly of Clifton Forge and Iron Gate, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania on September 9, 1965, the daughter of the late Ronald Lee and Helen BoCook Mays.

She was a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church, and a retired route salesman for Flowers Baking Company.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Billy Berberette; a son, Jeremy Berberette and companion, Johnna Waugh; two grandchildren, Norah and Hazel Berberette, all of Covington; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Billy and Dora Berberette of Clifton Forge; a number of aunts, uncles and many close and caring friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, with the Reverend Doug Moore Officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery in Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be selected from friends attending the service. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bill and Dora Berberette, 1225 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge.
