Obituary for Floyd Davis Wolfe Floyd Davis Wolfe
Alleghany County Native Was Longtime General Motor Lines Truck Driver

Floyd Davis Wolfe, 87, of 605 East Hemlock Street, Covington, Virginia died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Wolfe was born June 6, 1931 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Benny and Anna Mae Bess Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Millie Wilson; a great grandson, Bentley Kinser, and two sisters, Clara Smith and Susie Banker.

He was truck driver for the former General Motor Lines in Covington for over 30 years.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Alta Hall Wolfe of Covington; three sons, Eugene Wolfe and his wife, Linda, and Jimmy Wolfe and Lisa Mathena, all of Bluefield, and Bobby Wolfe and his wife, Betty of Covington; a son-in-law, Bob Wilson, of Covington; seven grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; a brother, Benny L. Wolfe, Jr. of Clifton Forge and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Sizemore officiating.

Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
