England Native, Former Dyncorp Employee Dies At Age 62

Robert (Bob) Alan Winebrenner, age 62, of 1907 Oakwood Drive, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Bob was born November 9, 1956 in England to the late Samuel Lee and Georgette Caspar Winebrenner.

He worked in the construction industry for Dyncorp Corporation of Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

He enjoyed operating his CB Radio, appreciated antique cars, and loved car racing.

He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Winebrenner.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Winebrenner of Clifton Forge; four daughters, Vanessa Winebrenner of Gainesville, VA, Melissa Downey and husband, Matthew of Clifton Forge, Megan Winebrenner of Annandale, and Jessica Winebrenner of Clifton Forge; a son, Robert Winebrenner, Jr. of Gainesville; a sister, Fran Hresan of Richmond; ten grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with the family's wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
