Mary Margaret Tyree Irvine, 83, of 1506 Richmond Street, Selma, Virginia died Friday, December 28, 2018 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.

She was born in Covington on March 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Wilfred Echols and Eula Humphries Tyree.

She was a retired CNA with Alleghany Regional Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Clem Loid Irvine in May of 2017, and a sister, Betty Sue Tucker.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy A. Goodbar and husband, Bernard of Collierstown, Tracie Smith and husband, Todd of Selma; four grandchildren, Darren Goodbar and wife, Debbie, Cathy Goodbar, Zachary Smith, Jarrett Smith and Nikki; three great-grandchildren, Evelynn Smith, Quentin and Lilia Goodbar; her caregivers, Janie Lawhorn, Lori Kern, Sarah Engler, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated and a private burial was held. Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.
