Ora (Dickie) William Hamilton, 70, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 5, in Buena Vista.

He was born April 21, 1948 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Lacy Hamilton and Annie Huffman Hamilton.

Surviving are his wife, Dot Hamilton; daughter, Elizabeth Wilcox; son, Richard Hamilton; step-sons, Chris West and Brad West; three grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis Hamilton and Delmas Beverley; and four sisters, Shirley Wood, Patsy Lewis, Bonnie Staton and Sue Moore; and many more special friends and family.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Nathan Phillips and the Rev. W. David Bain. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
