Obituary for Lounell Brown Hubble Lounell Brown Hubble
Longtime CNA Was Clifton Forge Resident

Lounell Brown Hubble, 85, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from her home at Scott Hill in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

She was born February 14, 1934 in Crumpler, NC, to the late Major Armfield Brown and Martha Bauguess Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Y. Hubble in 1979 and five siblings, Fred Brown, Eugene Brown, Beulah Brown, Ola Brown and Ottie Blevins.

Lou had worked for many years as a CNA in both Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion and then in later years at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor and is fondly remembered by many of her co-workers as well as the patients and families that she served.

In retirement, she enjoyed relaxing at home, going to church and spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren that were her pride and joy.

Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Nugent and her husband, Richard, Martha Rice and her husband, Jerry; three sons, Joe M. Hubble and his wife, Vickie, all of Covington; Larry Hubble of Clifton Forge and David Hubble of Fountain Hills, AZ; nine grandchildren, Shannon Hogan of Fairfax, Joseph D. Hubble and his wife, Helena, Hayden Rice, Whitney Hubble, David E. Hubble, Jr., Erica Hubble, Jerry Rice, Jr. and his wife, Angela, all of Covington; Lindsey Eltzroth and her husband, Jay of Lovingston;and Alan Nugent and his wife, Darlene of Sterling; eight great-grandchildren, Isaiah Hubble, Laney Rice, Tyler Rice, Hollin Eltzroth, Peri Eltzroth, Olivia Jinright, Jack Way and Charles Way and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

The family will hold a gathering at Arritt Funeral Home on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. to receive their friends.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
