Gloria Fennell Douglas, 72, of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home.

Born April 23, 1946 in Buchanan, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe Anderson and Gracie Dennis Anderson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Divers Henry Douglas.

Gloria was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Christ, where she served as a missionary for over 30 years.

Surviving are her children: Lisa Fennell-Charlton (Everton), Gloria J. Fennell (Jennifer) and Staffant J. Fennell (Tracy); siblings, Woody Bryant, Mary Emma Bryant and Norvel Anderson; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her special canine friend, Toby. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a large extended family and many friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Donald Conner. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 1 at Harrison Funeral Home.
