U. S. Air Force Veteran Was Epworth United Methodist Church Member

Sherry Lynn Spangler Clark, age 65, of 924 Alleghany Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

She was born February 16, 1954 in Clifton Forge to Ruth Persinger Spangler and the late Bernard M. "Tootie" Spangler, Sr.

She served in the United States Air Force, and was a homemaker throughout her life. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She loved spending time at the beach and with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David Michael Clark of Clifton Forge; her mother, Ruth Spangler Bush; a daughter, Stephanie LePard Clark and husband, Christopher of Winchester; a son, John LePard, Sr. of Iron Gate; a sister, Christy Spangler and fiance, Glenn of Clifton Forge; a brother, Bernard M. "Tooty" Spangler and wife, Vicky of Ruther Glen; four grandchildren, John LePard, Jr., Taylor Allen, Kansas LePard, and Charlotte Clark; two great grandchildren, Taylynn and Taige; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Beverly Parchen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with her nephew, Mr. David Clark, officiating. Interment will follow in Iron Gate Community Cemetery, Iron Gate. Pallbearers will be John LePard, Jr., Homer Warren, Dickie Conner, David Buchanan, James Davis, Will Davis, Leonard Clark, and Chad Clark.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
