Anne Chase Owen, 77, of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at her home.

Born June 4, 1941 in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Robert Bower Weaver and Clara Erdman Weaver.

Anne worked as a travel counselor at the Lexington Visitor Center.

Surviving are her husband, Col. John R. Owen (Ret.); children, George Robert Ax (Cathleen) and David Taylor Ax (Susan); grandchildren, Geoffry Breden Ax, Louise Lam Ax, Hanna Chase Ax, Michael Cooper Ax and Emery Holiday Ax; brother, Robert Bower Weaver Jr. (Janice); and sister, Janet Lynn Weaver.

A private reception will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
