Obituary for Doris Roman Leverette Doris Roman Leverette
South Carolina Native Was Homemaker, Caregiver

Doris Roman Leverette, 75, of Covington, Virginia was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mrs. Leverette was born in Abbeville County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late J. A Roman and Elizabeth Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Roman and Albert Roman.

She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, who enjoyed cooking.

A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Leverette was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church, serving her Lord in singing in the church choir.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Willie Leverette of Covington; her daughter, Jean Roman of Lexington, NC; her son and daughter-in-law, Horace and Wanda Roman of Lexington, NC; and Donald Roman of Lewisburg, WV; four grandchildren, Nikita Vinson of Lexington, NC, Robert "Dusty" Roman of Charleston, WV, Corey Roman of Winston-Salem, NC, and Alvin Roman and fiancee, Keisha Jordan of Covington, VA; ten great grandchildren, Coyt Aaron Jr. and Naja Vinson of Lexington, NC, Danijah Roman of Raleigh NC, Malcolm Roman, Aisha Roman, Ayden Roman of Clifton Forge, VA, Quincy Roman, Jackson Roman of Lewisburg, WV, Channing Roman of Winston-Salem, NC, and Aiyon Roman of Covington, VA; two great-great grandchildren, C'yani Aaron and Zoey Fowler of Lexington, NC; one sister, Annie Ruth Little of New Jersey; four step-grandchildren, thirteen great step-grandchildren, two step great-great grandchildren and blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is especially remembered by her faithful friends, Peggy Hughes, Regina Laws, Audrey Mack, and Shamika Dorcus.

The family would like to express its gratitude to the caregivers and medical staff with Americare Plus and Trellis Supportive Care. Also, a special thanks to the Pine Street Baptist Church family for its compassion and support.

The funeral service will be held on April 20, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Pine Street Baptist Church with Elder Randall Allen officiating.

The family will receive their friends at 1:00 p.m at Pine Street Baptist Church.
