Obituary for Barbara Ann Stafford Lindsay Barbara Ann Stafford Lindsay
Hot Springs Resident Worked At The Cascades Inn

Barbara Ann Stafford Lindsay, 72, of 29 Lindsay Lane, Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Bath Community Hospital.

She was born April 5, 1947 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry Henry Stafford and Edith Mae Gay Stafford.

She was married to the late Raymond "Pete" Warren Lindsay, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Mrs. Lindsay was retired from the Springs Nursing Center, where she was a housekeeper. Prior to that, she was employed with the Homestead Resort at the Cascades Inn. She formerly attended the Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Danny Lindsay of Hot Springs, Virginia, Eric Lindsay of Hot Springs, Jack Lindsay and wife, Jeanne, also of Hot Springs; a brother, Robert Stafford of Phillipi, West Virginia; a sister, Carolyn Hubert of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a special friend, James Pitsenbarger of Hot Springs; a brother-in-law, Duane Moore of Phillipi.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Moore and a brother-in-law, Rich Hubert.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lee Altizer and Lennie Stinnett officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Lindsay, Danny Lindsay, Roger Smith.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashwood Food Pantry or the Windy Cove Food Pantry.
