Ruth Angeline Simross, 90, of Lexington, Virginia died Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home.
Born March 29, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was a daughter of Michael Migliozzi and Marie Wiehl Migliozzi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William John DeMark; her second husband, James E. Simross; and siblings, Rose Macijewski, Earl Migliozzi, Louise Boscia, Lillian Purcell, Harry Migliozzi, August Migliozzi and Loretta Leber.
Ruth was a member of the Lexington Woman's Club, and worked with HeadStart. She had worked as an aerospace worker with Newark Air Force Station.
Surviving are her daughter, Marlene Cooper and husband, Scott of Rockbridge Baths; sister, Edna DiPaolo, and brother, Michael Migliozzi, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church by Father Joseph D’Aurora. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Ruth to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Meyers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
