Obituary for Sheila M. Lambert Sheila M. Lambert
Blue Grass Native Dies At Age 69

Sheila M. Lambert, 69, of Williamsburg, Virginia and formerly of Blue Grass passed away, Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News.

She was born in Blue Grass on May 20, 1949, a daughter of the late Robert William and Ruby Hinkle (Fultz) Lambert.

Ms. Lambert was a devote Christian and member of World Outreach Worship Center and will be remembered as one who always freely shared her faith with those around her. She loved to knit and crochet scarves which were distributed to cancer patients and to those in need in third world countries through Christian Ministries.

A graduate of Madison College, Sheila began her career teaching business education classes at Lafayette High School, where she remained an educator for 31 1/2 years until an accident forced her into a reluctant retirement.

She is survived by her sister, Roberta A. Lambert of Monterey; several cousins; as well as numerous special friends including Barbara and Bob Wilkes, Alice Byers and Tina Manning.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Obaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Andre Crummett and speaker Kenny Carroll officiating. Committal will follow in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Waybright, R.C. Pullin, Mike Isles, Jackie Will, David Neil, Ronald Wimer, Elmer Waybright and Allen Lowry.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Box 267, Monterey, Va. 24465; Williamsburg Faith in Action, 354 McLaws Circle, Ste. 2, Williamsburg, Va. 23188; or to World Outreach Worship Center, 1233 Shields Road, Newport News, Va. 23608-2062.

The Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Virginia is handling the arrangements.
