Obituary for Denny Collins Bell Denny Collins Bell
Former Maytag Appliance Store Co-Owner Was Avid Outdoorsman

Denny Collins Bell, 91, of 1017 Cliftwood Circle, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Bell was born October 19, 1927 in Waiteville, WV, the son of the late Walter Bell and Cordie Smith Bell Bailey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in the death by his wife, Lelia Frances Martin Bell in 2009; four sisters, Erma Broughman, Emma Hawse, Beulah Martin, and Jean Miller; five brothers, Alvie Bell, Berlin Bell, Roy Bell, Buster Bell, and Dalma Bailey and two half-brothers, Corbitt Bell, and Ira Bell.

Denny was a co-owner of Maytag Appliance store in Clifton Forge and was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

He was a charter member of Trail Blazer Hunt Club and was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

At 91, Denny killed his 100th white tail buck in November of last year.

Surviving are his daughter, Debbie Balser and her husband, Barry; two grandsons, Scott Balser and wife, Kristen, and Brad Balser and wife, Priscilla; five great grandchildren, Paige Balser, Lexi Balser, Bella Balser, Bailey Balser, and Collins Balser, all of Clifton Forge; a special friend, Ricky Brown and wife, Lisa; a number of nieces and nephews and caregivers, Ann Brown, Abbi Sibold, and Courtney Simmons; and a special thanks to Mountain Regional Hospice.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial donations in Mr. Bell's name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice at P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
