Carl Edward (Pete) Fitzgerald, 69, of Glasgow, Virginia died at his home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Born April 13, 1950, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late James Fitzgerald and Mamie Coffey Fitzgerald.

He was also preceded in death by eight sisters and two brothers.

Pete is survived by a brother, Henry "Butch" Fitzgerald (Debbie) of Buena Vista; a sister, Patsy Clark of Vesuvius; a special great nephew, Ray Hostetter of Glasgow; a special cousin and caregiver, Tammy Coffey of Natural Bridge Station; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Randall Bradley, of Glasgow.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Victory Baptist Church, Buena Vista, conducted by Wayne Smith.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
