Myrtle Hunter Robinson, 76, of Covington, Virginia died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Alleghany Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. Robinson was born June 11, 1943 in Covington, a daughter of the late Walter and Juanita Burns Rice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Robinson, Sr.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Helena and Omar McKoy of Covington; two sons, Eric Robinson and his wife, Robinette of Roanoke and Ernest L. Robinson, Jr. of Covington; four grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan, Jr. and Joshua Jordan, both of Covington, Ashley Vassell of Roanoke and Kayla Robinson of High Point, NC; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Hughes, Jr. and Gregory Rice and his wife, Deborah, all of Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
