Shirley Loan Blake, 83, of 4720 Hayes Gap Road, Covington, Virginia died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 18, 1935 in Covington, Virginia, a daughter of the late Russell and Addie Farris Loan.

She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Corp. with over thirty years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Blake, Jr. and three sisters, Emma Stevens, Betty Gum and Marlene Webb.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Gibson and her husband, Casey; a grandchild, Leighton Blake Gibson, all of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews, including Bill Evans and wife, Linda, Robert Evans and wife, Dreama; and a special family friend, Gregory Thurston.

In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
