Mrs. Elva Kathleen Bayles Horne, age 78, of Covington, Virginia died Friday, July 19, 2019 at her residence.

She was the wife of Paul Horne.

Mrs. Horne was born July 12, 1941 in Keyser, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Russell Vance Turbin and Nora Cecil Conrad Turbin.

Mary was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy. She loved to shop at the Goodwill and Salvation Army as well as collecting dolls.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Horne is survived by her son, Thomas Bayles of Louisa County; two daughters, Bonnie Gundersen and Patty Bayles, both of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Shirley Turner of Trevilians, Mary Jane Fitzgerald of Culpepper and Nancy Davis of Trevilians; eight grandchildren, Heather Herbert of Lansdowne PA, Geena Gundersen of Allentown, PA , Mark T. Gundersen of Sellersville, PA, Ann Marie Strause of Temple, TX, Brittany Ross of Killeen, TX, Aaliyah Ross of Montana, Joselyn Bayles of Covington and Savannah Bayles of Covington.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horne is preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Bayles and sister, Margareta Smallwood.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Angie Lucas officiating.
