William Jackson Hancock, 36, of Lexington, Virginia died suddenly on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born March 25, 1983 in Gainesville, Georgia, he was a son of Nancy Elizabeth Nalley and the late Pierce Jackson Hancock Jr.

Mr. Hancock was an attorney at Simons and Hancock.

In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Lauren-Ashley E. Torbick of Lexington, and a brother, Matthew Pierce Hancock.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by David Hancock. Burial will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of choice or the local SPCA, 10 Animal Place, Lexington, VA 24450.
