Obituary for Dorothy Jane (Bostic) Coleman Dorothy Jane (Bostic) Coleman
James Chapel United Methodist Church Member Was White Sulphur Springs Resident

Dorothy Jane (Bostic) Coleman, 80, of White Sulphur Springs, WV passed peacefully on July 25, 2019 at the Genesis Nursing facility in White Sulphur Springs after a short illness.

Mrs. Coleman was born August 14, 1938 in Pickaway, WV, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Georgia (White) Bostic.

Mrs. Coleman is proceeded in death by her father, Lonnie Bostic; mother, Georgia (White) Bostic; a brother, Fred Bostic of Rainelle, and a sister, Myrtle Ralston of Ronceverte.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eddie J. Coleman; a daughter, Beverly Crane (J.R.) of Clintonville, WV; a daughter, Linda Coleman of White Sulphur Springs; a grandson, Joseph Wickline (Caron) of Unionville, NC; three great grandchildren, Jorja, Cadon, and Carli Wickline, all of Unionville, NC.; a twin sister, Dolores Carter of White Sulphur Springs, and a brother Ronald Bostic (Evidene) of White Sulphur Springs. Also numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved people and found the good in everyone she met.

Dorothy was a member of the James Chapel United Methodist Church in Clintonville, WV. Along with her husband Eddie, they were part of multiple singing groups, most notably 'Gloryland Road’, that enjoyed singing the Gospel throughout the Greenbrier Valley. For more than 20 years she worked as a seamstress in the upholstery shop at the Greenbrier Hotel.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29 at the James Chapel United Methodist Church in Clintonville WV with Pastor Jesse Pope and Pastor Buck Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery in Pickaway, WV.

A visitation will be held Sunday, July 28 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral home in White Sulphur Springs, WV from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Chapel United Methodist (Clintonville) Building Fund, c/o Hazel Reed, 1618 Shoestring Trail Clintonville, WV 24931.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
