Later she would become a founding member of "The Metropolitan Professional Golfers Wives Association" of New York.

1976 brought pain and sorrow when the death of her husband left her a widow. Collecting herself and summoning all her strength and courage she attained her cosmetology license and in 1980 opened her own salon, in Boca Raton, redefining her life.

A skillful bridge player and gifted with an artistic flare, she enjoyed many crafts, including; oil and water color painting, mosaic art, rug hooking, interior design, quilting and cooking.

A devoted Christian throughout her life and known for her cheerful nature, vibrant smile and dynamic personality, she always put family, god, country and friends first.

Surviving are daughters, Brenna Gay Beverage of Sebastian, FL and Christy Lynn (Beverage) DeVries of Clermont, FL; son, Charles Flint Beverage of New York City, NY; grandaughter, Ashley Anne DeVries of Clermont, FL.
