Obituary for Douglas L. (Bub) Baker Douglas L. (Bub) Baker
Lewisburg Resident Worked With Greenbrier Valley Memorial Vault Company; Was former Elks Exalted Ruler

Douglas L. (Bub) Baker, 61, of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Charleston area Medical Center, Memorial Division, Charleston, WV.

Bub was born June 6, 1958 in Ronceverte, the son of the late Janice Jones Daddario and Arthur L. Baker.

He was of the Methodist Faith, retired with 35 years of service with Greenbrier Valley Memorial Vault Company and was a past Exalted Ruler of Elkins Lodge 1758.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Starks Baker; father, Art Baker and his wife, Phyllis of Pickaway; daughters, Stephanie Burns and Heather Barton; grandchildren, Chad Burns, Allie Burns and Rachel Burns; sister, Susan Sheridan and husband, Wes and their children, Michael Furrow (Bridgett) and their son, Issac, Hannah (Matt) Bostic and Tanner Sheridan; brother, Joe Haynes (Debbie) of Union and their children, Jonathan, Joseph and Scooter; and half-brothers, Richard Bennett and James Bennett (Linda).

Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be on Wednesday September 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor James Hylton officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lewisburg.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, P. O. Box 926, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
