Brenda Snyder Fleshman, 69, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away on September 16, 2019, surrounded by her three loving children.

Born on February 23, 1950 in Vesuvius, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Katherine Fitzgerald Snyder.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Brooks and Mildred Brooks, and brothers, Bobby Snyder, Merrille Snyder and Ronald Davis.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Ronald Fleshman, she is survived by her children, Rhonda Harwley (Jeremy) of Stuarts Draft, Jeff Fleshman (Jill) of Orlando, Fla., and Kristy Shifflett (David) of Charlottesville. Also surviving are her three brothers, Ward Snyder (Susan), Marvin Snyder (Elnora), and Raymond Snyder (Pat), along with several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Brenda (Nana) also leaves to cherish her memory her eight grandchildren, Sierra, Savannah and Charley Harwley, Brenna, Reese and Lyla Shifflett, Jillian James and Jaxon Fleshman.

Brenda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She touched so many lives within her community and will be most remembered for her loving spirit and willingness to open her heart and home to anyone who needed it.

All are invited to attend a celebration of Brenda's life at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28 at Neriah Baptist Church, Buena Vista. A reception will follow in the church community building.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brenda's name to the Rockbridge Regional Library.
