Natural Bridge Station Resident Dies At Age 67

Freddie Franklin Plogger, age 67, of 1880 Wert Faulkner Highway in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

He was born November 17, 1951 in Lexington, Virginia to the late Grier Franklin Plogger and Virginia Beverly Wright.

He was an Iron Worker and Crane Operator for various employers. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Sammy Ruley and Buck Leslie.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Thompson Plogger of Glasgow; his son, Shawn Plogger of Glasgow; his daughter, Tiffany Madison and husband, Josh of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Beatrice Ruley of Lexington, Gloria Nuckols and husband, Roy of Buena Vista, Bonnie Austin and husband, Danny of Natural Bridge, and Kay Leslie of Lexington; four grandchildren, Braylin Madison, Kendal Madison, Tristan Madison, and Nicholas Plogger; a number of nieces and nephews; a host of close friends; and a special companion, Sammi.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
