Floyd (WeWa) Bartow Brantley Jr., 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his residence.

Born January 12, 1931 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Floyd Bartow Brantley Sr. and Virginia Jeanette Cash Brantley.

He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Mildred Virginia Cash Brantley; brothers, Francis C. Brantley (Ann) and Milton Brantley; and sister, Phyllis Brantley Watts (Aubrey).

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Linda Sandidge Brantley; four children, Gary Lee Brantley (Serena), Melinda Brantley Coleman (Michael), Carolyn "Pinky" Brantley Noel (Curtis), and Floyd Bartow "Bart" Brantley III; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Brantley, Brody Nathaniel Noel, Robert Brantley, Nicholas D. Brantley, and Tucker Brooks Noel; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Willie David Brantley; and special niece, Marilyn Watts Leyo (John).

A funeral service was conducted Monday, October 14, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial followed at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
