Lewis Atkins Humphries, 62, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born September 13, 1956 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late James Lewis Humphries and Eunice Henson Humphries.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy and Kenneth Ray Humphries.

Surviving are his wife, Janie Breedlove Humphries; sisters, Brenda Humphries Coleman and Jean Humphries Clark; brother, William Wesley Humphries; and precious uncles, Lawrence and Odell Humphries.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
