Christopher Scott (Scooby) Dew, age 54, of 315 E. Prospect Street, Covington, Virginia formerly of Clifton Forge died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1965 to the late Henry Dew and Loree Miller Dew.

He was a former cook for the Cat and Owl Steak and Seafood Restaurant in Low Moor. He was a member of the Clifton Forge Elks Lodge #1065 and loved to play golf.

He is survived by a daughter, Caty Clonch and husband, Shane of Eagle Rock; a son, Ethan Dew of Annandale; a sister, Sally Thompson and husband, Matthew of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Peyton and Kash Clonch; the mother of his children, Amy Rice Dew of Clifton Forge; and a number of cousins including special cousin, Bruce Profitt.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
