Fayetteville, West Virginia Native Was South Covington United Methodist Church Member

Betty Lee Craft Wickline Gaines, 82, of 800 N. Pocahontas Ave, Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born April 7, 1937 in Fayetteville, WV, a daughter of the late Kenneth Paul Craft, Sr. and the late Willie Jane Henley.

She was a paper warehouser for Nationwide Paper, and a member of South Covington United Methodist Church.

She loved yard sales, watching Law and Order and other crime shows, and enjoyed good food.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Alan Gaines; a son, Joseph Carl Wickline, and a brother, Kenneth Paul Craft, Jr.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendy March Woolever and husband, Jack of Little Rock, AR, Jane Wickline Greenwood and husband, Tom of Clifton Forge, and Jackie Lord of Clifton Forge; a son, Charles Jackson "Chuck" Wickline, Jr.; two sisters, Paula Hodges of Roanoke and Lynn Creasey and husband, Mike of Covington; a sister-in-law, Patsy Irvine Craft; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Nancy Salyers, Amy Tingler and Ruby Lewis.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at South Covington United Methodist Church with the Reverend Yun Goo Kang officiating.

Her family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church and after the service at the home of Nola and Norman Knox, 909 N. Rockbridge Ave, Covington, VA.
