Loleta Larue King Braford, 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab.

Born September 14, 1931 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Olie Clarence King and Beulah Ramsey King.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Robert Douglas Braford; son, Charlie Smith; one brother; and five sisters.

Surviving are her children, Kitty Knick (David), Carol Dyer (Jack), Wayne Smith (Kay), Sherri Halder (Paul), and John Farrar (Missy); 13 grandchildren, Jason, Marcie, Aaron, Laura, Jackson, Jacob, Ashley, Amanda, Jason Wayne, Faith, Austin, Dustin, and Brandy; 11 great grandchildren; and half-brother, Layne King.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 5 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Moyers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
