Virginia Agnes Craghead, 89, of Covington, Virginia died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor.

Ms. Craghead was born November 7, 1930 in Covington, the daughter of the late Boyce Vinson and Mavie Saunders Craghead.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Arrington; her brothers, Thomas Craghead Sr. and Lewis Craghead and a nephew, Thomas "Buddy" Craghead Jr.

She retired from Boys Home.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Edna Mae Craghead; six nieces and nephews: Sandra Proctor, Lois Engle, Art Arrington, Tim Arrington, Sylvia VanWorkhoven, and Leigh Worley.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Gillette officiating.

The interment will follow at Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
